LEED® Facilitator 

Body

We are looking for a LEED® Facilitator with at least two years experience managing LEED facilitation projects.  During the six month probationary period, the successful candidate will work under the guidance of senior staff.  He/she will be responsible to manage and deliver projects independently after that time.

Primary Activities:

·         Plan the execution of target-based projects seeking LEED® or BOMA BESt® certification

·         Set up and maintain a internet-based collaboration portal

·         Make sales presentations

·         Manage client expectations and information flows

·         Participate in and provide technical support for an iterative design process

·         Coordinate LEED® credit interpretation requests

·         Regularly report project status and progress to meet Client requirements

·         Conduct site reviews and assess LEED® or BOMA BESt® compliance

·         Prepare CaGBC or BOMA submission packages

·         Prepare quotations for new opportunities

·         Acquire new projects within established annual targets

Skills and Experience:

·         Strong oral and written english language skills.

·         French communication skills would be an asset but are not required for the position.

·         Demonstrate strong knowledge of CaGBC rating systems and BOMA BESt requirements.

·         Familiarity with Canadian building codes and standards.

·         Strong computer skills.

·         Demonstrated ability to execute and complete projects on budget and on time.

·         Preference will be given to candidates possessing:

o    an Engineering Degree,

o    a LEED® AP designation, and/or

o    P.Eng. accreditation.

·         Demonstrated ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.

An engineer, or equivalent, familiar with building mechanical and electrical systems, possessing a passionate belief in the need to conserve resources, would be an ideal fit for our organization.  If she/he chooses, the successful candidate will have significant influence on the type of projects undertaken.  An engineer, or equivalent, that can “get the job done” will have an unlimited scope for career growth. 

Over time, and as our mix of projects dictates, she/he will also have the opportunity to learn the science of energy auditing, HVAC Design, and Project Management by contributing to large projects for major building owners.
